It's Thursday evening and I'm blogging while watching Southern Illinois play Kansas. Even though I'm from Southern Illinois, I was never really an SIU fan - until tonight. Go Salukis! Let's see...Southern Illinois beats UNC...just as good as a Duke win in my book!
This week has been really interesting. Community Groups and others have been filtering in all week and adding names to the walls. There's now over 1500 names on our front walls. The sense of mission and commitment is just growing and growing.
Then we had one of those answers to prayer that just kind of blows your mind. It was one of those things that God does sometimes just to let us know he's still in control. I'm going to tell you about it this Sunday, so I don't want to leak the story yet - but it was really cool! And it perfectly illustrates what I'm going to talk about to wind up our BIG emphasis - how to pray really BIG prayers. I'm pumped and can't wait to share it with you. So, get yourself to NHC this weekend, bring a friend and be ready to rock and roll!
One more thing - I had my first iced mocha this week. What a week!
