• Wrapped up the txt series today with some very practical stuff - Get a Time, a Place and a Plan. If you missed today check out the podcast.
• Lots of people stopping by The Source and picking up the resources we offered during this series. We sold out on The Case For Christ books and almost sold out the One Year Bibles. We really take our responsibilities to heart when it comes to recommending resources, so when so many take advantage of them it's a very cool thing.
• Attendance was a little off today but it was a really nice weekend. Beach season is starting to kick in I guess.
• Heard a very cool stat from Cathy (our new Children's Pastor) - over the last 3 weeks Uhambo has registered 35 new families with kids for the first time! Very cool!
• I'm giving a big shout out to my Front Row Team!! Thanks, guys, for filling the front and for being a little rowdy! Let's kick it up a notch!
• Today we had a web development team on site shooting video and photos for our new website that is under development. They were shooting stuff in the main service as well as in the kid's area, Club 56 and tonight at Spiked. Saw some of the stuff they got and it's going to look really hot on the new website. We'll let you know when the new site is up and running.
• All of our NHC leaders got together tonight for some baseball-themed fun and vision-casting. It was vintage NHC. Giant baseballs getting tossed around the room. Popcorn, peanuts and Cracker Jack. And baseball music including Take Me Out To The Ballgame as sung by former American Idol contestant William Hung. (Check out the video here.) Where else but NHC?
• I was reminded again tonight how much I love NHC. I love our leaders...I love our staff...I love the mission God has given us...I love what God is doing. It's such a privilege to pastor this church!
• Jamie announced the first Block Party today - June 28th. Can't wait for that. I love summer and I love Block Parties at NHC. We're going to kicking them up a notch this year, so put it on your calendar NOW!
• I'm watching the Country Music Awards as I'm blogging and Sugarland just won Song Of The Year for Stay, which is a song that has nothing but vocals and acoustic guitar. No wailing guitar solos. No drums. Just plain, raw voice and guitar. Very cool!
• That's it. I'm wiped. I'm out.
