This Sunday we're recording our first-ever live worship CD and I'm really pumped about it! First, it's just going to be so cool to have our own worship CD. But second, it's going to be a great way to introduce our family and friends to NHC. Think about it - you can put a CD in that friend's hand that you've been inviting to NHC and say, "This is what our music sounds like." Cool, huh?
So here's the deal - help us make this a great live CD by MAKING SOME NOISE! Sing, clap your hands, whistle, stomp your feet - whatever, but let's express some emotion!
One thing I've heard some people (most of the time guys) say is, "I'm just not an emotional person. I'm just kind of laid back and I don't want to get emotional about God." I understand that some people are introverts by nature and they're a little more reserved. But here's what's interesting - get them in a seat at the football stadium or the basketball arena and they're screaming their heads off...yelling at the refs...cheering on their favorite team. They're suddenly emotional!
I don't have any problem with screaming your lungs out at a sports event. Whenever I get the chance to go to a Duke game I'm screaming my head off with the rest of the crowd. But let's get real. We have something far more important to celebrate. Jesus, the one and only unique Son of God left the glory of Heaven to come here to crawl up on a cross and shed his blood for you and me. He died so I could have a relationship with the God who created the universe. I have a spot in Heaven guaranteed. Now that's something that deserves some emotion!
So this Sunday let's make some noise for the One who really deserves an outpouring of our emotion!
