The message on Sunday was right on target. In this time of economic uncertainty and all the panic that seems to permeate every conversation about money, it is good to have someone help put things in perspective. We are indeed BLESSED in this country! We recently traveled to Mexico and spent time in a local village and then traveling through the countryside and I can tell you we found a whole new meaning for the word gratitude. It's time we focus on what we do have instead of what we might lose during these hard times. I have found from personal experience that when I honor God with my finances, he in turn honors me and takes care of me. Thanks for challenging us, Dave.

Just a note on the message on tithing tonight. You mentioned someone writing a tithe check for $20. And how that couldn't possibly be a tithe check. Well, I do know some people that are self-employed or work part-time may only make $200 or even less for a week. Sometimes the $20 may even be more than their tithe. It's good to know that when we tithe or give offerings we do it as unto the Lord. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. I know tithing is a principle and like yourself have done it over 30 years. God is faithful to His word and I have seen His provision over and over.
