• What an AMAZING weekend! The M25 Food Drop on Saturday was a HUGE SUCCESS by any way you want to measure it. Over 300 families lined up Saturday morning to receive over 15,000 lbs. of food & toiletries from Feed The Children, along with fresh BBQ, fresh fruit, 1500 stuffed animals for the kids and even fresh flowers for the ladies. And the most incredible thing of all was the love and care that was shown by over 100 NHC'ers who stood in the rain all morning with smiles on their faces to make the whole thing happen. Absolutely phenomenal!
• I have to say I have never been prouder of our church than I was this weekend!!
• There's no way I can name everyone who was involved in the M25 outreach, but EXTRA BIG PROPS go to Jeffrey Husen, who led this whole project. Jeff has been involved with M25 in other cities and he brought it to our attention at NHC and then pulled the whole thing together. Way to go Jeffrey!
•The music today was rockin'! The House Of Blues theme has really brought out the best in our band and programming teams from the blues openers during the countdown clock to the feature songs. And the new worship tune we introduced today is one of my current faves.
• This has been a really powerful teaching series too. I know it has been kicking me in the pants, spiritually speaking. I felt like I was preaching to myself today as much as anyone else in the room. Next week we're winding it up big with the subject of Anger.
• Really stoked about our next series. We're going to do three weeks on prayer called, Vertical. We're going to talk about how to pray, why prayers sometimes don't get answered and how we can pray together as a church. AND...we're going to do something we've never done before (so what else is new, right?)...we're going to do a 10-day Daniel fast. More on that later.
• Went to the grocery store after the Saturday night service and everything was wiped out. After going to two stores to finally find what I needed, it dawned on me - the weather forecast was calling for snow. I know I'm a transplanted northerner and we always complain about this, but what is it with snow predictions in the south? One little prediction and the grocery stores get hit like there's going to be a 10-day blizzard! Lighten up!
• And it's actually snowing tonight as I'm posting this! Looks like another snow day tomorrow, so I guess I'll hit the sack and maybe sleep in tomorrow morning. I'm out!

We just never know when those pesky Yankees are gonna blockade us again, so we stock up!
