On Wednesday over 300 people began a 10-day prayer emphasis for our church. So, how do you pray for our church? Glad you asked. Here are some things you can pray for...
• Pray that we always keep Jesus as our focus. He's the reason we do all of this.
• Pray that we never lose sight of our calling to reach the lost and the prodigals. Plain and simple, we believe our #1 mission is reaching people who are far from God.
• Pray for our staff. The pressure and spiritual warfare on a staff like ours is intense. Pray for their families, their personal walk with God, their spiritual and physical protection and for the wisdom to lead our church to the next level.
• Pray for me. I would not normally ask for that, but to be honest, I need all the prayer support I can get! And please pray for the most precious thing in my life, my family.
• Pray for our volunteer teams. The folks who make up our ministry teams are some of the most awesome foiks I know and they make NHC tick week in and week out. They're crazy enough to try all the weird ideas we come up with and that means they need LOTS of prayer!
• Pray for our finances. Bottom line, we trust God in this area and he comes through over and over. But these are uncertain times for all of us. Pray that we will all have the courage and faith to continue to trust God with our tithes and offerings.
• PRAY FOR EASTER WEEKEND!!! Pray that lots of our friends and family members come to Easter services. Pray for God's Spirit to move in a way that draws people to Jesus. Pray for kids, adults and teenagers to experience the life-changing power of Jesus Christ!
