Just a few thoughts on the weekend...
• All week last week I prayed that our services would be filled with a sense of God's presence. That happened! There was a great sense of worship, celebration and that God was just showing up big time.
• Great crowd...the 11:00 service was packed out.
• And we saw several people receive Christ. No, I'll never stop talking about that because it is the #1 thing to God and to us!!
• LOVED the new song Jon and the band taught us. I sang it to myself all afternoon (when I wasn't taking a nap). We've really been focusing on raising the bar on the overall worship atmosphere in our services and it seems to be paying off.
• Had fun just preaching about Jesus. Bottom line - Jesus is the only way to God. Nobody else and no other "path" can match up to who Jesus was and what he did. Jesus claimed to be God in the flesh and then he backed it up with not just miracles, but THE greatest miracle of all time - he came back from the dead! That puts Jesus in a whole different category: HE IS LORD!

• On another note, I heard through the grapevine that some wondered why the Army National Guard was outside the building. Simple answer - FOR OUR KIDS! NHC Kids kicked off a new series about Joshua and the Battle of Jericho called Ten Hut. So we asked the Army to bring a couple of Humvees. I tried to get them to let me take one for a spin around the parking lot, but I couldn't get them to give me the keys.
